The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center and the Anasazi Heritage Center invite the public to a reception and exhibition opening for Museum on the Ground, 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
The event will be a the Anasazi Heritage Center, 27501 Highway 184, Dolores. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
Held in fall 2013 at Lowry Pueblo near Pleasant View, the Museum on the Ground program gave an introduction to Southwest archaeology and history for more than 200 fourth-grade students from seven local schools.
Crow Canyon educators, Anasazi Heritage Center staff and volunteers, and members of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe shared their knowledge of ancestral Pueblo and Ute culture and history.
The show runs through April 12 and features students' work, and photos taken during the event.
