From head to toe, Dove Creek High School’s 126-pound sophomore Case Baughman looks like a wrestler.
Wiry and extremely quick, the son of longtime Bulldogs’ wrestling coach Shane Baughman is hoping to make waves in what will be his second state tournament.
“My goal right now is to make it to finals,” said Baughman.
Aware that he will be challenged long before the championship match however, Baughman is not taking anything for granted.
“I just want to take it one match at a time,” said the sophomore. “You never know who’s going to be peaking at the right time. Hopefully it will be me.”
Looking to get off to a solid start, Baughman (35-7) will kick things off against Rye High School’s Wesley Camper (20-12) on Feb. 20.
