This is “Pongo”. He is a wonderful Australian Shepherd neutered male. Pongo is approximately 4 years old and is a very intelligent guy. He gets along great with other dogs and seems to be OK with cats. Pongo would make a great companion for a farmer or rancher as he loves to ride in the back of the truck. He seems to have high drive and may have been a working dog. He was brought in as an abandoned dog so we do not have history on him. The Cortez Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed every other Friday for intensive cleaning.
