The Fifth Annual Mancos Melt is bringing four days of fun to town this weekend to help cure cabin fever.
The proceeds will go to benefit the newly reformed Mancos Valley Historical Society, and event planners hope you will come relive a bit a the Roaring Twenties in a set of pearls or pinstripe suit.
The events range from old favorites like the bed races and golf tournament to new kid-friendly events such as the kids' carnival.
In keeping with theme, some of the events include a old time movie night, a Charleston dance lesson, and a costume contest.
The historical society's new goals are funding improvements to the Opera House, documenting the historical landmarks, founding a town museum and helping keep arts in school.
