FARMINGTON – Author Anne Hillerman, daughter of Tony Hillerman, will be returning to the Four Corners for a special illustrated talk and book signing, to celebrate the release of her first fiction novel, Spider Woman’s Daughter.”
Hillerman will be at the Farmington Public Library on Friday, April 4.
Previously, Anne and her husband Don Strehl, visited the Four Corners to discuss their first co-authored work Tony Hillerman’s Landscape: On the Road with Chee and Leaphorn. Working on that book inspired her novel Spider Woman’s Daughter, which debuted last fall, and became a New York Times bestseller in its first week.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Anne again at the library,” said Kathleen Browning, Adult Services Coordinator for the Farmington Public Library. “It’s such an honor to know that she, like her father, finds so much inspiration in the Four Corners.”
Anne Hillerman’s nonfiction projects include Gardens of Santa Fe, which features photos of Santa Fe’s finest gardens, and Santa Fe Flavors: Best Restaurants and Recipes.
Both works received top honors at the New Mexico Book Awards.
Anne Hillerman is also a founder of the Tony Hillerman Writers Conference named after her late father.
Hillerman’s presentation at the Farmington Public Library is free and open to the public.
The program begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by a discussion and book signing.
