I know most people don't read the volume and edition numbers on our front page.
It's not that exciting, I'll admit, but I do want to point out that today's issue is the first one of our 30th year.
So I think Carole and I are looking pretty good for 30!
I know, it's an old joke, I just can't help myself.
So this is just a short thank you to everyone over the past 30 years who has supported the newspaper's four owners, advertised with us, written a letter to the editor, and read some of our 1,509 editions.
I bet there are a few of you out there who have read all of them!
I know I have since our family moved here in 1999.
The news business is changing, and nowadays people are reading the news on their cell phones and tablets. That's OK, as long as they're still reading! And we're bringing you the news in these new ways, as well on our good old standby, paper.
Which is still my favorite, by the way, but I know my kids probably won't read the news on paper.
So thank you for letting us be a part of your lives for 30 years, and here's to 30 more!
