Chevelle Reed of Cortez has qualified for the Junior World Finals at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, from Dec. 7-12.
Seventeen-year-old Reed is one of 160 qualifiers from across the country and Canada competing for a championship title and $200,000 in payout and prizes.
The Junior World Finals hosts qualifiers and finals in nine events, including bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, girls and boys breakaway, pole bending, team roping, tie-down roping and barrel racing.
