Colorado’s governor signs two gun-control bills. Here’s what they mean

Bills restrict how guns are stored and sold, and how owners report lost or stolen weapons
Gov. Jared Polis signs Senate Bill 78 into law on Monday. He was surrounded by the Democratic state lawmakers who championed the measure, as well as the family and boyfriend of Isabella Thallas. Police say Thallas was killed by a stolen rifle that belonged to a Denver police sergeant. Senate Bill 78 was named after Thallas in her memory.

Gov. Jared Polis signs Senate Bill 78 into law on Monday. He was surrounded by the Democratic state lawmakers who championed the measure, as well as the family and boyfriend of Isabella Thallas.
