The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce board of directors invites businesses to join MVCC.
They recently voted to allow any business that is a first-time member to pay $25 for the first year of membership. The second year of membership will increase to the annual dues payment of $50.
There are many perks for Chamber membership:
Special mention of your business in the weekly newsletter as well as free adverting in the newsletter for your business.
Free email blasts for special events sponsored by your business.
Marketing campaigns such as "Mancos First: Think Locally," Cash Mob events, grand opening events.
Expanded presence in the MVCC business directory with your business logo, a photo, text describing your business and a Google map to your business location.
Your special events can be posted to the Chamber's community calendar.
The Chamber of Commerce makes available many resources to enhance the economy and cultural heritage of the Mancos Valley. The Chamber provides support to several Valley organizations through the distribution of mini-grant funds. The Chamber partners with the Mancos Valley Arts Council for the creation of the Mancos Town Gallery at the Visitor Center. MVCC also sponsors the "Think Locally" campaign to encourage people to shop in the Mancos Valley. It also sponsors Mancos Cash Mob events at various businesses in the community to encourage people to spend their dollars with local businesses.
The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce is about community and enhancing existing business resources while encouraging new economic development ideas. Our activities are the result of the persistent commitment of our Chamber of Commerce members who join and then pay their membership dues every year and demonstrate their sense of passion for and commitment to our little community through their day-to-day generosity.
Most of us are fully aware of the contributions the P & D Grocery makes to community events. And, doesn't the highway intersection look more beautiful since Zuma Natural Foods moved to the corner. The shops on Grand Avenue make a big commitment to help the town look more attractive with planters filled with flowers. Chamber of Commerce members don't necessarily commit to attending meetings. They are action oriented people who make things happen for our community. Their strength is their willingness to make things happen and that benefits the entire community.
