Teachers will spend Friday in a "professional learning community." The calendar committee developed the calendar so students have more instructional time and teachers have more development time. The calendar can be found at doloresschoools.org.

Homecoming announced
Dolores High School has announced that homecoming week will be Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. The theme is Cartoon Mania. The Powderpuff game will be Oct. 1 at 7 p.m., and there will be a bonfire at Joe Rowell Park at 8 p.m. The parade will be Oct. 3 at 3 p.m., and the game will start at 7 p.m. Friday.
Elementary expanding
Sixth-graders are headed back to the elementary. A meeting at the elementary on Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. will discuss the transition.
