Nikki and Mike Sanchez were busy last week settling into their new location for Bob’s Place.
The reconditioned appliance store moved from South Broadway to 1401 E. Main Street in Cortez, next to Big R.
Manager Ryan Kinne was pleased with the move. Kinne bought the store from his uncle Bob several years ago.
Kinne said that the new location should increase traffic, is easier to get to and has more room.
“We also plan on increasing home service,” Kinne said.
In addition to the reconditioned appliances, Kinne said they will move their water filling station to the downtown location this week.
The three business partners put up a temporary vinyl sign last week.
“It’s a better location with a better building,” Kinne said.
Meanwhile, inside the store sat a small cage in the corner. Inside, sat the friendly store cat, getting accustomed to the new space.
“They say you have to keep them in a cage for a bit until they get used to their surroundings, otherwise she might head back to the old store,” Mike Sanchez said.
The beautiful cat seemed to be settling in to the store and her name.
“There is nobody here by the name Bob, so we named her Bob,” Nikki Sanchez said.
Bob seemed to approve of her new store.
