The town of Mancos reminds residents to leave a marrow stream of water flowing to prevent frozen pipes.
The Town Board will re-approve its 1995 budget at tonight's regular meeting. Other business facing the board includes a request from Darrold Pickens to transfer the Columbine Bar's liquor license from Kent and Laura Fitzgerald. There will also be a discussion with Charlie Mitchell of Western Excelsior regarding fire hydrants to serve portions of the business which are beyond the town limits.
Carriage rides were a part of the entertainment at the Centennial Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration.
The Mancos Valley Association will meet Thursday at noon at the Valley Inn - soup and sandwiches for $3. The new board of directors includes Dee Booten, Susan Burnet, Art Hutchinson , Maureen Haley, Linda Hart, Joan Krajack, Dick Loucks, Jack Muller, Barbara Milicevic, Barry Sucherman and Stan Williams.
What makes the Hesperus ski course a great hill for snowboarders is they can get off the lift and immediately head down. Hesperus has a 750 vertical drop and more than 160 acres of skiable terrain.

Cadette Girl Scouts Sadie Rose Pace , Jerry Jones, Cara Turner, Miranda Shoemaker, and Olivia Doty presented their full-size quilt they had made to the winner Oda Martin.
The winners in the lighting contest were John Paquin, John Thibault, Scott Anderson and Clyde Sheek.
Mancos high school principal Ray Carey showed off the Norwest Cup for having the best activities program in the San Basin league.
There was an obituary for Elly Nievaard Decker who was born in Holland. She married Tom Decker, a cousin of mine.
