Wednesday, March 18
12:43 p.m. An officer was sent to a business in the 1400 block of East Main Street because an employee reported that a gun was taken from his vehicle while he was working. The employee said he put a gym bag on top of the gun to conceal it, but may have forgot to lock his vehicle because he was running late that morning.
11:02 p.m. A man was arrested for violation of bond conditions after an officer discovered him pulled over on the side of the road. Because of the time of night, the officer decided to stop and make sure everything was OK. Upon doing so, the officer discovered a syringe near the driver’s leg. After a search of the vehicle, the officer found numerous Alprazolam pills, a schedule IV narcotic, and was told the syringe contained a mix of Xanax, Dilaudid and Alprazolam.
Thursday, March 19
1 p.m. An officer took a report from a UPS driver that he was bit by a dog while delivering a package. The owners of the dog were informed of the incident and told to keep the dog confined for 10 days, the dog was up to date on his vaccinations.
3:37 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a dog bite in the 600 block of South Oak Street. The owner of a blue tick hound said her dog had bit her and she was concerned about diseases. The owner signed a home confinement agreement for the dog.
Friday, March 20
4:26 p.m. An officer responded to the Walmart Supercenter for a report of employee theft. The employee reportedly took $1,8000 in movies and books. When asked why he did it, he said his wife was really sick and he was doing it to make ends meet and to “keep himself from going crazy.”
