Mesa Verde National Park plans to waive entrance fees on 10 days in 2017, beginning with Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 16.
“Fee-free days offer a wonderful time for new visitors to become familiar with the park and for return visitors to rediscover the magic of Mesa Verde,” said Superintendent Cliff Spencer. “I urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.”
The entrance fee waiver does not cover camping or tours.
The free days are:

It protects nearly 5,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings.
