Shipping Season is on, Many Cars Move
The fall shipping season is at hand and farmers and stockmen are busy getting their beans, wheat, cattle and sheep off to the market.
Eight cars of beans were loaded at the local station this week, and three cards of wheat.

Corn-Hog Growers to Vote October 26
Corn and hog producers in Colorado and throughout the nation will be given an opportunity to vote Saturday, October 26th, in a referendum to determine whether they want another corn-hog production adjustment program similar to the one in effect this year.
Dolores Bears Win Over Utah Team
In the third game of the season, the Dolores Bears quite forcibly humbled the Monticello, UT football team with an overwhelming score of 59-0. It was quite apparent from the opening whistle that Monticello was no match for the locals.
Car Overturns
B. F. Green received slight cuts and bruises Sunday evening when his car overturned near the Hallar camp. Mr. Green was driving west and, as he turned out to pass another car, being blinded by the sun, he ran off the road. The car rolled over and landed on its wheels. Mrs. Lena Wilber and her three grandchildren who were in the car were uninjured.
Plans Being Made to Move CCC Camp Near McPhee
The Beaver CCC camp is to be located on the flat just west of the Harry Morgan place below McPhee, according to word being circulated this week.
The drillers failed to get water on the Padget place, so it was necessary to look for another location. The water supply can be pumped from the Dolores river, it is said.
New Equipment
Musgraves garage has recently installed a modern piece of equipment in the shape of a “motor analyzer” with which almost any trouble with an automobile engine can be located and diagnosed in a short time. To introduce this machine, Musgrave is offering to test free the first ten cars brought into the garage after the appearance of his announcement in the paper.
High School
The American government class was very interested in an old history book that Lorna Winborun brought to class Monday. It was published in 1837 and proved to be very interesting even if it was old fashioned.
The home economics class has been having demonstrations in various things lately. Last Thursday a demonstration in jelly making was given to Ruth Knovlock.

Mr. and Mrs. Barnett are helping Jack Bolevich with the work on Harry Rogers west place.
Tex Keller of Lewis was a business caller in this community Tuesday.
Charlie McCall has started the harvest of his cucumbers. They were planted for the seed company.
Mrs. Frank Philley was out Tuesday getting some fruit from her mother’s orchard.

Jack Ferguson returned home Thursday from Porter, New Mexico, where he has been the last two weeks.
The afternoon bridge club was entertained at the Eva Hart home Thursday. Mrs. Violet Burt received prize for high sore, Mrs. Oma Harrel galloping and Mrs. Edna Sagrillo low.
