The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado is updating the Dolores and Montezuma County Community Development Action Plans, and public comment is encouraged.
The document is a list of projects to be started or completed within the next two years, and the draft documents are available at http://www.scan.org/ for review until Nov. 13.
The CDAPs are:
Projects with completion dates of two years or less.
Projects are reviewed and prioritized by community groups, governments, citizens and stakeholders and then confirmed or revised by the appropriate county board of commissioners.
Ranked and signed by each county’s board of commissioners.
Being listed in an approved Community Action Plan is required for many state and federal funding sources.
CDAP categories include public infrastructure, public services, economic development, and housing.
Region 9 updates and monitors the Community Development Action Plans for Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan counties about every two years. Dolores County commissioners are scheduled to review on Nov. 2 to provide edits. Montezuma commissioners will be scheduled after the comment deadline.
Suggestions, edits or comments can be sent to Laura Lewis Marchino at Region 9 Economic Development District laura@scan.org
