The American Southwest Conference released its all-conference teams for women’s soccer last Tuesday, and 2013 Montezuma-Cortez graduate Allison Porter was selected to the ASC-First Team.
Porter started 17 games for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, ranking second on the team with six assists and scoring four goals on the season.
The team finished the with a 12-3-1 record and advanced to the semifinal round of the American Southwest Conference Championship.
Porter said that the highlight of the season was playing eventual conference-winner Hardin-Simmons to a 2-2 tie, in which Porter scored the Crusaders’ first goal.
A junior at UMHB, Porter is studying nursing.
