Cletus is out of time. This bright, handsome 11-month-old male redtick English coonhound mix also referred to as a redtick coonhound has been at the shelter for a month and his time is limited. He has beautiful red markings, with red-speckled legs and big, soft ears. He is really good-natured and sociable, plays very well with kids and larger dogs, but probably not cats. He is still puppyish and should have a fenced yard. This breed is known for its intelligence. You can bring a happy ending to this boys story by making him a part of your family. Cletus is available for adoption at the Cortez Animal Shelter, located at 2791 E. Main St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and open every other Friday. The shelter will be open this Friday. This week, the shelter needs Purina adult cat food, Iams kitten food, dog treats, non-clumping cat litter, and heavy-duty dishwashing gloves (size large).
