9:53 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 400 block of S. Chestnut on suspicion of assault and violating a protection order.
Monday, Feb. 1
7:38 p.m.: A call to a home in 1000 block of Cornett St. about a protection-order violation led to a standoff with a man alledgedly armed with scissors. An officer pointed a gun at suspect’s head, and the suspect was reportedly tasered twice and punched before he was handcuffed. The suspect was treated for a facial injury and released, and the officer was treated for a broken bone in his hand. The suspect faces charges involving obstruction of justice and police, false imprisonment, assault and violating a protection order.
6:48 p.m.: A man at the Cortez Public Library was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Grand Junction.
4:46 p.m.: A Wal-Mart employee was arrested on suspicion of theft of $3,800 belonging to a customer.
3:33 p.m.: Officers investigated a cold break-in in the 600 block of S. Market St.
12:20 p.m.: A man in the 1400 block of S. Chestnut St. was cited for failing to license his dog and for a dog running at large.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
9 p.m.: An assault investigation at the Mesa Verde Inn led police to seek a Teec Nos Pos man on warrants of false imprisonment, assault, obstruction of telephone service and domestic violence.
7:38 p.m.: A woman with a dog-bite injury at Southwest Memorial Hospital was provided with a home-confinement agreement.
2:44 p.m.: A man with an outstanding warrant in the 200 block of S. Chestnut St. was arrested on suspicion of possessing an uncontrolled substance and drug paraphernalia.
12:58 p.m.: An officer investigated a theft at the Liquid Assets Liquor Store. A subsequent photo lineup did not provide a positive identification.
12:40 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Knights Inn on an outstanding warrant for failing to register.
12:21 p.m.: An officer investigated a possible shoplifting at Cork and Bottle and subsequently served a juvenile and his mother a promise to appear on suspected theft and possession of ethyl alcohol.
10:25 a.m.: A woman reported that an unauthorized purchase had been charged to her debit card in Houston. An officer forwarded the report to Fort Bend, Texas.

11:32 p.m.: An officer arrested a man who turned himself in at the Montezuma County jail.
6:34 p.m.: A pedestrian at the intersection of U.S. 160/491 was arrested on outstanding warrants.
4 p.m.: An inmate at the county jail was served a Municipal Court warrant.
3:31 p.m.: A warrant was served on a woman at Montezuma County Court.
