Monday, Feb. 15
7:51 p.m.: An officer driving in the 500 block of E. Main St. pulled over an SUV after noticing a quarrel among four people inside. One occupant was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and the three others were released after agreeing to stop quarreling.
6:55 p.m.: An officer responding to a disturbance behind City Market and arrested one man on suspicion of disturbing the peace and possessing an open container of alcohol.
1:35 p.m.: An officer issued a summons for theft after a woman removed another woman’s purse from Denny’s restaurant.
Sunday, Feb. 14
2:26 p.m.: An officer cited a pedestrian near Seventh and Market streets with intoxication.
2:12 a.m.: Officers arrested a man at a residence in the 300 block of S. Madison St. on suspicion of burglary, possession of meth, trespass, damage to private property, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia.
1:20 a.m.: An officer patrolling Harrison and Main streets cited a driver for DUI, failure to stop at a red light and a stop sign, resisting arrest and an open alcohol container.
Saturday, Feb. 13
5:03 p.m.: Officers served a man with a summons for shoplifting and trespass at Family Dollar, in the 300 block of S. Broadway.
3:35 p.m.: A driver at E. Main and Sligo streets was cited and jailed for a suspended license, habitual traffic offenses, and failure to obey a traffic signal.
3:02 p.m.: A pedestrian at Montezuma Ave. and Fillmore Street was arrested and jailed on an outstanding warrant.
2:40 p.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen from a storage shed at a residence in the 000 block of E. Sixth St.
2:01 p.m.: A child reportedly suffered a dog bite in the 800 block of S. Chestnut, and a woman was served a summons for a vicious dog the next day.
11:28 a.m.: An woman’s report of a stolen SUV parked in the 1100 block of Jackson St. led to a police recommendation that a man and woman be charged with aggravated motor theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Further, the officer stated that a salvager may be “in violation of the seven-day waiting period” before crushing the vehicle for scrap.
12:18 a.m.: A driver in the McDonald’s drive-through was served a summons for DUI, DUI per se and possession of an open container of alcohol.
Friday, Feb. 12
1:36 p.m.: A woman with an outstanding warrant turned herself in at the Montezuma County jail.
Thursday, Feb. 11
5:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of assault, violating a protection order and violating bond conditions after police responded to a call of an altercation in Cortez City Park.
5:25 p.m.: A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant near Centennial Park after police responded to a report of a possible assault.
12:52 p.m.: A man was arrested in the City Market parking lot on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.

8:13 p.m.: An officer investigated a broken window at Shilo Restaurant that had apparently been shot with a BB or pellet gun.
