Karen Sheek is my choice for Cortez City Council. She is a courageous and thoughtful person who has shown that she is most interested in serving the people of Cortez.
Sheek is a successful businesswoman and retired educator. She has used the skills learned from these careers to benefit our council. She has worked hard the past four years to move Cortez in a positive direction by finding creative ways to address problems while remaining fiscally responsible and community-centered. Among the accomplishments of the council during her term are:
Installation of energy efficient street lights and water meters that have saved taxpayer dollars;
Establishment of an agreement with Osprey Packs to build their new International Headquarters in Cortez bringing new jobs to the city;
Expansion of the current Industrial Park to further encourage business growth.
Karen Sheek brings her energy, enthusiasm, and experience to Cortez every day. She deserves your vote to continue serving on the Cortez City Council. Mail-in ballots have been sent. Karen is Number 1 on the ballot. Please vote by returning your ballot to Cortez City Hall by April 5.
