In 2015, our elected county commissioners donated funds to American Lands Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to state and private takeover of our nation’s public lands. Only two other counties besides Montezuma have agreed to the takeover.
These elected officials must not care for our way of life here in Montezuma County. We could lose access to the lands, which could mean no hunting, fishing, hiking, biking: no recreation. These commissioners should not be able to continue making decisions for our county. They apparently do not care about our way of life.
The citizens of this county need to stand up for our freedom and oust these commissioners as soon as we get to vote again. Stand up for your right before clowns like these take all of them away.
