The Ultimate Outdoor and Gun Show will take place May 13-15 at Montezuma County Fairgrounds, put on by Steve Blackwell. The event will feature dozens of outdoor, sports and firearm goods vendors from the Four Corners region and beyond.
Cortez Mayor Karen Sheek proclaimed May 8-14 as Southwest Colorado Sportsman’s Week in Cortez. Blackwell’s previous events have benefited local businesses and residents, Sheek said.
“We do hereby urge the citizens of southwest Colorado to recognize and support Sportsman’s Week and the Ultimate Outdoor and Gun Show, and identify this cause as it is a big contributor to our economy and our way of life,” the mayor said.
The event will take place Friday, May 13 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per day, and children age 12 and under are free.
