A whitewater release for the Dolores River below McPhee dam is planned to begin Thursday and last for five or more days, according to a May 26 report.
Ramp-up flows will begin on Wednesday, June 1.
McPhee Reservoir managers said targeted releases are between 1,000 and 1,200 cubic feet per second, but may vary between 800 cfs and 1,500 cfs.
Warmer temperatures could force the spill to be moved up a day, in which case ramp-up would begin May 31 with boating flows starting on June 1.
