There are three contested races on the GOP ballot, and one on the Democratic Party ballot.
Republicans will choose a candidate from a field of five to run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet in November, as well decide on the GOP candidate for the 3rd Congressional District representative and the state board of education. Democrats will choose from two candidates running for District Attorney for the 6th Judicial District.
Completed ballots must be received by 7 p.m. June 28. It’s too late to mail them, but voters may drop their ballots off at Montezuma County Clerk Kim Percell’s office, 140 W. Main St., Suite 1.
The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
