Bluegrass band The Appleseed Collective will play the Dolores River Brewery on August 20.
The band describes their music as “progressive string swing.” The Michigan-based band includes Andrew Brown on guitar, Brandon Smith on violin and mandolin, Vince Russo on washboard and percussion and Eric O’Daly on upright bass.
According to their website, “The Appleseed Collective is poised to become the new sound of string music. Riding the wave of bluegrass revival, they explore the full range of old and new composition and improvisation in a deeply theatrical stage show that transports audiences through time.”
