Matt Stiasny wrote (Letters, Herald, July 6) against signing the petition for Initiative 78 that focuses on greater setbacks from gas and oil development.
Just a quick Google search on his name brings up multiple pages that are pro-fracking and pushing the gas and oil industry’s agenda. While there is a wealth of propaganda both for and against the use of fracking in the media, one must look closely at any initiative and who supports and opposes it.
In this case, it doesn’t seem to be anyone who is concerned with the welfare of our health, but rather big gas and oil money currently opposing this initiative.
I believe there are better alternatives to drilling at any expense. Anyone pushing a pro-fracking agenda has ulterior motives.
