Leadership Montezuma is recruiting members for the Class of 2016-2017, which will receive training in subjects such as leadership development, board training, technology for leaders.

The program begins on Sept. 9 and 10 with a mandatory retreat Friday night and all day Saturday. Class members will participate in nine training days in September through May on the third Thursday of each month. Hours typically from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m..

Sessions focus on a different segment of Montezuma County, including water, agriculture and natural resources; the Ute Mountain Ute tribe; culture and the arts; nonprofit leadership; board training; leader development; education; health and human services; public safety, local government and special districts; and community economics.
