Mercy Nutrition Therapy, The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado, and Cooking Matters invite the public to attend “Preparing Healthy, Affordable Lunches for All Ages,” a free educational workshop, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Needham Elementary School, 2425 W. 3rd Ave. in Durango.
Cooking Matters’ specialists will lead a pop-up grocery store tour, followed by a cooking demonstration to prepare nutritious lunches for children and adults on a budget. Attendees will receive hands-on training to learn how to incorporate healthy, affordable lunches into one’s daily life to achieve proper nutrition.
