It celebrated as one customer after another won trophies in mountain biking, and now Mountain Bike Specialists earned a trophy of its own.
While it frequently rates among the top mountain bike stores in the country, 2016 is the year the store was named the Best Mountain Bike Shop in the U.S. Co-owner Ed Zink picked up the statue at the Interbike industry trade show in Las Vegas last week.
The contest began when Mountain Bike Specialists was selected as one of America’s Best Bike Shops by the National Bicycle Dealers Association. After a screening, including a questionnaire and secret shopper, it was up to customers to vote to put the store over the top.
“We believe this award goes to our customers, who have supported the store for more than 47 years,” said store manager John Glover.
“In my 37 years with MBS, the expertise of our staff and mix of brands represented has never been better.”
