Author Anne Hillerman of Santa Fe, who follows in the footsteps of her famous father, Tony Hillerman, will appear at the Cortez Public Library at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, as part of The Amazing Authors Series at 6 p.m. at the Cortez Public Library.
A 5 p.m. reception also will be held at the library, 202 N. Park St.
Her debut novel, “Spider Woman’s Daughter,” received the Spur Award from Western Writers of America for the Best First Novel. “Rock with Wings,” the second book in her mystery series, was a New York Times bestseller, and “Song of the Lion” is set for release in April.
She also is the author of “Tony Hillerman’s Landcape: On the Road with Chee and Leaphorn,” with her husband and photographer, Don Strel. In collaboration with St. Martin’s Press, she established the Tony Hillerman Prize for Best First Mystery Novel set in the Southwest.
