Seven veterans and one current sailor came together on Saturday, May 28 to celebrate the graduation of the newest family member to serve their country. Simon Peter Condon, of Dolores, graduated with honors from Dolores High School. With all his other honors for academic and athletic achievements, Simon received a four year U.S. Navy ROTC scholarship to the University of Southern California. On hand at graduation to present the award and a faux check for nearly $200,000 was AWN1 Jesse Kedrick, U.S. Navy Recruiter for this area.
