Dolores track and field added to its 2011 accolades, as junior-to-be Lexi Atkinson was named to the Colorado 2A girls individual All-State track team as a sophomore. Atkinson competed in the 100-meter dash (third at state), long jump (sixth at state), and ran in the 4 x 100- and 200-sprint medley relays. The Lady Bears 4 x 100 relay team won its second straight state title on May 21 in Lakewood at the Colorado state track and field championships.
