The youth of Youth Leadership Council are cluing in to the needs of their community. The group is asking the citizens of the city of Cortez, the city council and local law enforcement how an ordinance for non-cigarette, nicotine containing products could be a win-win situation for the community and its youth.
By being perceptive, we can see that this will reduce teen and pre-teen ability to become addicted to tobacco and nicotine products when we make it harder for them to buy these products in our community. When we clue in we see that Cortez cares about its youth and we win by having a healthier community. YLC has asked all people to think for yourself and be perceptive of the conditions we are living in because when we clue in, we have a more supportive community. Not only is there more support, but we also become more educated so we can have a better home for the youth!
