People like to say “Love what you do” and “Never give up.” The youth of the Youth Leadership Council are following this advice and taking passion in what they are working on! YLC is working very hard with city council members and the city lawyer to get a policy passed requiring retailers to have a license to sell chew and nicotine containing products. These youth have been working extremely hard by researching, educating, and presenting their findings and new ideas to the community.
The Youth Leadership Council’s passion drives them to motivate others. They have realized that requiring retailers to have a license to sell these products will help keep the youth of Cortez safe and healthy. YLC loves what they do and they will work hard to get an ordinance passed to help create a healthier youth environment.
