M-CHS spotlight athlete of the week. Name: Logan Dean. Favorite food: Um, any and all. Sport: Tennis. Favorite thing to do: Play tennis/hang out with friends. Plans after high school: College, maybe math. Parent: Kay Barnett. Best high school memory so far: Regionals for tennis in 2010. Favorite teacher and why: Mr. Harriman; fun teacher, relates well to students. Something people would not know about me? I had white hair when I was born. Stats/Accomplishments: Dean had an outstanding performance last week with great varsity tennis victories over Hotchkiss and Aspen High Schools. Dean defeated the No. 2 Hotchkiss singles player, Chris Lamberg, in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. The next day in extremely hot weather, Dean downed Aspens Jack Steve Anderson, 6-4, 6-1.
