MONDAY, NOV. 14
A woman spoke with an officer at the police department after returning to her home at around 4 p.m. to find a man standing inside her residence. She described him as being not real big in stature, and said he was wearing light blue clothing and had dishwater blond hair. The man reportedly waved his hands in the air and made noise like he was trying to scare her. The woman said that she backed out of the door and went to her neighbors home. The neighbor brought his large dog over and checked out the inside of her house, but the man had apparently left through the back door. Nothing was found to be missing or disturbed, and she believes that he was not in the home for very long. The woman said she didnt lock her door during the day, and that was how the man got inside. The officer suggested that she start locking her doors, and advised her to call if she was scared or suspicious.
An officer was dispatched to a mobile home park in reference to a disturbance. A male on the scene said that he wanted his girlfriend to leave, and that he had gotten into a fight with her about her talking to someone on the phone.
TUESDAY, NOV. 15
An officer was dispatched to a residence for a report of a burglary. A homeowner showed the officer where a swamp cooler had been pulled away from the side of a home, and the vent showed visible damage. Stolen from the homeowners son were 27 X-Box games, and a coin collection valued at around $3,000 that had been in a padlocked metal box, and a black and silver-colored iPod Touch with a cracked screen. The homeowner also noted that her wedding ring was missing, as was her husbands; the rings were in a jewelry box that had been moved. Both rings were silver, and her ring contained a small diamond. Also missing was a blue and gray duffel bag containing a key chain with a small bullet on it and 15 keys. Fingerprints were taken from the scene.
An officer clocked a woman speeding on North Dolores Road at 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. She was weaving in and out of traffic. After pulling the vehicle over, the officer asked her why she was in such a hurry. She told the officer that she thought she was going 79 mph, and asked what speed he had clocked her at. When asked if she knew that she was driving in a 50 mph zone, she said that she was driving that fast because she was trying to get to her sisters house because she was getting beat up by her brother. She replied no when asked if she or her sister had called the police, and also declined when the officer asked her if she would like him to call it in. She exhibited signs of intoxication and told the officer that she was drinking because she had only had a year left to live because she has cirrhosis of the liver from being an alcoholic, and that she had two drinks a day to help with her medical condition. Dispatch confirmed that the drivers license is revoked for a previous alcohol related incident. She admitted that she knew she didnt have a license and didnt care because she only had a year left to live. When asked to step out of the car, she did not have shoes or socks on, and seemed unsure whether or not she had them in the car. She failed roadside maneuvers and a breath test, and was left in the care and custody of jail staff.
