Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

Well, howdy there, Pilgrim and Sadie, a rambunctious pair of puppies. Pilgrim is an 8-week-old, black-and-tan, male shepherd mix, and Sadie is a 9-week-old female black Labrador retriever mix. These are rowdy, boisterous, fat little puppies. They are unrelated, and sure seem to enjoy roughhousing with whoever they happen to be with. Please consider opening your home to one of these puppies, or a lonely heart dog, cat, or kitten — and make their holiday a happy one. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. The shelter will be closed this Friday. Right now, the shelter desperately needs Iams or Purina puppy chow, Purina or Pedigree adult dog food, Iams or Purina adult cat food, and all sorts of dog chews or rawhides to keep the dogs and puppies there occupied. They also would love some new dog toys for their homeless dogs’ stockings, as the ones they have are beyond ready to throw out. The shelter could also use cleaning supplies such as bleach, dish soap, Pine Sol, and paper towels. As the season for giving and sharing approaches, please don’t forget our community’s homeless and stray pets. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
