Snowball looks just like a mini-Marley. A small breed blond Labrador mix, hes the last of the litter. His sister was adopted on Monday, so hes sad to find himself left behind. Hes five months old, and isnt going to get very big; his mother was small, so hell grow up to be a small-to-medium size dog. Hes well-behaved on a leash, and great with kids. Hes almost done being housebroken (he just needs to brush up on his skills once at a permanent home). Hes sweet and loves to be held and cuddled. Snowballs a little shy when he first meets someone new, but is a wonderful guy once he gets to know you. You can meet Snowball downtown today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as he makes his appearance as one of the Twelve Strays of Christmas hell be wearing a holiday outfit as he takes his stroll, so you cant miss him. Stop him and say howdy. Please consider opening your home to this puppy, or a lonely heart dog, cat, or kitten and make their holiday a happy one. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. The shelter will be open this Friday. Right now, the shelter desperately needs Iams puppy chow, small breed adult dog food, non-clumping cat litter, and all sorts of dog chews or rawhides to keep the dogs and puppies there occupied. They also would love some new dog toys for their homeless dogs stockings, as the ones they have are ready to throw out. The shelter could also use cleaning supplies such as bleach, dish soap, Pine Sol, and paper towels. As the season for giving and sharing approaches, please dont forget our communitys homeless and stray pets. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
