Hunters Education Class
A Colorado Hunters Education course will be offered today and tomorrow at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $10 and there is no preregistration. The minimum age to sign up is 10. Those born on or after Jan. 1, 1949 must have completed this course in order to hunt or trap in Colorado. Dolores Pee Wee Cheer Camp
The Dolores High School cheerleaders will be hosting a pee wee cheer camp starting Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. It will be in the Dolores High School commons/cafeteria area for ages 4 years to the fifth-grade level. Skills learned will be performed during halftime at the varsity basketball game against Mancos on Saturday, Feb. 4, approximately at 3:30 p.m. in Dolores. Cost is $30 and includes a T-shirt. M-CHS dancers host dance camp
Children kindergarten through eighth-grade are invited to join the Montezuma-Cortez High School Lady Panthers dancers for a week of practice and a Saturday performance. The camp runs Tuesday, Jan. 31, through Thursday, Feb. 2, with a performance during the boys basketball halftime on Saturday, Feb. 4. Practice is from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. in the M-CHS commons. The cost of the camp is $30 and includes admission to the basketball game for the camper, a T-shirt and mini-poms for rooting on the Panthers! Dolores Bears Booster Club meeting
The Dolores Bears Booster Club will be holding its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 5:30 p.m. in the school library. All booster club members are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone else that would like to help support Dolores Middle School and High School students in their activities. Cortez Cobra wrestling registration
Cobra wrestling is currently taking registrations for the 2012 pee-wee wrestling season. Children must be born between 1998 and 2007. Sign-ups will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the M-CHS Commons Area. Sing-ups will also be on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the M-CHS Auxiliary Gym. Registration cost is $50 and please bring a copy of a childs birth certificate. The wrestling season begins Monday, Feb. 20, with practices on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Cortez Middle School. Dr. Dave Johnson Memorial 4-on-4 Indoor Soccer Tournament
Farmington, N.M., will host the annual Dr. Dave Johnson Memorial 4-on-4 Indoor Soccer Tournament on the weekend of Feb. 11-12. The tournament is held at the San Juan College Human Performance Center on three full size courts with curtain dividers.
Ages 5-older. Cost is $140 per team, a six-person max roster and fee includes an all day pass for the climbing wall for team members. Its a three-game minimum. M-CHS vs. Durango white-out.
Montezuma-Cortez High School is doing a white-out for its home basketball games versus Durango on Thursday, Fen. 16. Gates open at 5 p.m. People get a free white-out T-shirt with ticket purchase. The pie auction is on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. and its only $5 a ticket. The first 600 get a free T-shirt with every ticket sold! Wear your T-shirt to the game on Feb. 16, to support the Lady Panthers and Panthers.
