Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge. 9:11 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of West Fifth Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge in Grand County, Utah, after police responded to a report that he was waving a machete around in public. A machete was found at the scene, but responding officers were unable to find out to whom it belonged. 11:20 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 10 block of South Harrison Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge. Thursday, June 22 10:33 a.m.: A man reported a theft in the 500 block of South Madison Street. He claimed someone had taken one of his leaf blowers, valued at $289, while he was doing outdoor work. The case remains under investigation. 12:19 p.m.: A man reported a theft in the 300 block of North Chestnut Street. He claimed someone had taken a lawnmower, valued at $200, from his fenced backyard after tampering with the gate. The case remains under investigation. 1:27 p.m.: A female employee was arrested at the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge. 2:21 p.m.: A man was arrested outside Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St., on three warrants for failure to appear on local misdemeanor charges. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to a recent facial injury. 3:39 p.m.: A man was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on two warrants for failure to appear on local misdemeanor charges after employees reported he had tried to steal a macaroni salad and had gotten into a fight with a customer. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to severe intoxication. 7:56 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons on suspicion of disturbing the peace in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., after she reportedly urinated in public near a playground with several small children. 11:35 p.m.: A man was arrested in the parking lot of City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge.
