Telluride plans to add another hub to its network with service on American Airlines from Charlotte (CLT) to Telluride/Montrose Airport (MTJ), on Saturdays through winter.
The Charlotte flight will run from Dec. 16, 2017 – March 31, 2018, the Colorado Flights Alliance said in a news release.
The new flight brings the total number of non-stop routes to 11 this winter for the two airports serving the destination, Telluride (TEX) & Telluride/Montrose (MTJ).
Charlotte was a key hub in the US Airways system before it merged with American Airlines.
Telluride/Montrose has grown service with American from 11,000 to 57,000 round-trip seats, including flights from Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago and now Charlotte.
Colorado Flights provides service from Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Phoenix, Newark, LaGuardia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Charlotte, along with Denver service, giving the Telluride airports 15 non-stop flights from 11 major hubs for winter 2017-18.
