The Mancos Lady Bluejays basketball team had its season end on the road Tuesday night.
Telluride overwhelmed Mancos, 58-26, winning the 2A District III pigtail game.
I just thought it was a rebuilding year for us, Lady Bluejays coach Craig Paschal said. The girls did play hard throughout the year. Its hard to tell by the scores, but we did improve throughout the year. The girls stuck together and that part was good.
Mancos (4-15, 3-10 2A San Juan Basin League) has a strong core of underclassmen returning and a stellar junior varsity team looking to move up. The future appears bright for the Lady Bluejays.
We have a real solid junior varsity group. They ran through the league and didnt lose a league game, Paschal said. Theres a good nucleus coming through.
