The Montezuma-Cortez High School Band Senior Legacy Fund was initiated last year by 2011 M-CHS senior class band members with the intent of starting a tradition for seniors to raise money for the band program as a parting gift, and to locate past members. The hope is to create a master list of alumni to keep them informed about the current status of the band program, and to urge them to help carry on the strong music program and long-standing band tradition of Montezuma-Cortez High School.
The Legacy Fund was created as a discretionary fund to be presented to the M-CHS Band director at the Senior Band Concert in May (before graduation), which can be used as needed for the program. Former M-CHS band members are asked to send their current contact information so that they may be included in a Band Alumni List.
Because M-CHS Band Boosters is a nonprofit organization, all donations are also tax deductible. To send a donation for the Legacy Fund, please mail to M-CHS Band Boosters Legacy Fund, P.O. Box 497, Cortez, CO 81321.
