Cute as a speckled pup. These Australian Cattle Dog puppies also known as Heelers will grow up to be great working dogs. This little blue Heeler pup with rust markings is a female, and the white and black-spotted one is a boy. These two are four months old, and will grow up to be medium-sized at their largest. They are adorable, and very alert and interested in everything going on around them. Please consider opening your home or ranch to a puppy, or one of the other deserving animals that have found themselves at the shelter, and give one (or more!) a chance for a happy life. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be closed this Friday. Right now, the shelter needs Iams puppy or kitten chow, Purina or Pedigree adult dog food, Iams or Purina cat food, non-clumping cat litter, and all sorts of dog chews or rawhides. The shelter always needs dish soap and dishwasher detergent (powder). It may be time to welcome home the new and possibly cattle-herding love of your life. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petfinder.com (enter 81321 zip code) or http://www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
