A Western Film Festival will be at the Mancos Public Library on Saturday, March 10, beginning at noon. Four older western movies will be shown at noon, 2 p.m., 3:40 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
The cost for each movie is a donation of $7. The festival benefits the womenas safehouse in Cortez, called WINGS. It will also benefit the Mancos Arts Council Scholarship Fund.
Businesses in town who have provided their services are Absolute Bakery, who is donating cookies; Point to Point Graphics, who has donated the posters; Valley Video, who is supplying all the movies; P & D, who is donating the concessions; and Slavens in Cortez, who has donated the popcorn popper.
