U.S. 160 near Towaoc was closed and several nearby businesses placed on lockdown Saturday evening after a man armed with a rifle was reported nearby.
No evidence of the suspect or the gun was located, said Lt. Dale Americanhorse, with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Towaoc. The highway and businesses were re-opened and no injuries were reported. The Colorado State Patrol and Montezuma County Sheriffs Office assisted with the incident.
