Axis Health System announced the receipt of additional construction funding for its new healthcare facility in Cortez. Both Caring for Colorado and The Boettcher Foundation each contributed $50,000 towards the construction of the new clinic.
In February 2011, Axis Health System broke ground for this new clinic. The facility is now open and will help to bring additional healthcare access and resources to Montezuma County. said Pam Wise Romero, Chief Clinical Officer for Axis Health System in a written release. Grant funding from these organizations was essential to the projects completion.
A full continuum of primary healthcare services is available at Cortez Integrated Healthcare. The clinic is located at 961 E. Empire and is currently accepting new patients. Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 565-7946 for more information.
