Get together with your neighbors for some cake and pie at the inaugural Sweet Taste of Dolores on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Flanders Park.
Fourteen vendors will sell baked goods, candy, coffee and hot chocolate. The Four Corners Community Band will provide entertainment. Stores are remaining open, including the Westfork Gallery, Traditional Charm, Red Tail Creations, The Calico mercantile, the Dolores General Store, the Dolores River Brewery, the Yoga House, the Rio Grande Southern Hotel and the Ginger Jar.
As part of the event, public officials and business owners will attend and be recognized by an emcee. Residents can get to know who their town board members, local firefighters, artists, school leaders, store owners and other community members.
“A strong community is all about knowing each other and supporting one another, so we thought this was a good way to that,” said Dolores Mayor Santiago Lopez.
