Plays well with others unless you happen to be a mouse. This affectionate gray male butterfly tabby is almost 10 weeks old and ready to find a home. He is the last one left in his litter, and is very friendly and social. He loves playing and now just needs a human at the other end of the cat toy. This little guy is going to be a gorgeous cat when he grows up with his dramatic dark gray on lighter gray markings and yellow eyes. Please consider bringing this great kitten home so hell have a chance for a happy life. Also available are many other kittens and adult cats, as well as the sweet husky-mix puppy featured last week. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. They will be open this Friday. Right now, the shelter desperately needs Purina or Pedigree adult dog food. They also need Iams puppy food, Purina or Iams kitten food, scented bleach, paper towels and big rawhide chews to keep their dogs occupied. The shelter could use some good-hearted humans to volunteer just one hour a week for the good of these homeless animals. In one hour, you can walk dogs at the dog park next to the shelter, or sit and play with the kittens and pet the cats so they present well for potential adopters. The time spent goes by in a heartbeat, but in just one hour, you can make a huge difference in the life of an animal. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
